About - DePaul University - College of Education
We believe no one makes a greater difference in human lives than a skillful educator. For more than 50 years, this belief has inspired everything we do at DePaul’s College of Education (COE). DePaul’s history of educating teachers dates back to 1911, when the university formed a Department of Education within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. We founded the College of Education in 1962, reflecting our commitment to this fundamentally important function in society. Through authentic experiences in the classroom and out in the world, we develop difference-making educators—engaged, service-oriented citizens of our local and global communities.
