About - Carlton Gallery
One of the most well-established fine art galleries in the High Country of Western North Carolina, Carlton Gallery showcases a vibrant and diverse collection of artwork across all mediums, featuring over 150 local, regional, and national artists. Founded in 1982 as a small fiber studio, the gallery has grown into a dynamic space offering original works and unique gift items, including oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings, mixed media pieces, giclées, limited edition prints, pottery, jewelry, sculpture, wood, glass, and fiber arts.
The gallery offers a casually elegant atmosphere that reflects the spirit of the local community and seasonal residents, complemented by artist receptions and rotating exhibitions throughout the year. In addition, workshops led by resident artists cover a variety of styles and techniques, from traditional to abstract, including landscapes, still life, figurative, and expressive art forms.
